Love Teed Off at the Ryder Cup…

There are some weddings that linger in your mind — not just because of the venue or the details, but because of the people. Craig and Hannah’s wedding at the stunning Fasque House was one of those days. Set against the grand backdrop of this historic estate situated near the village of Fettercairn , their celebration in September was a heartfelt, joyful, and deeply personal event.

From the very beginning, Craig and Hannah wanted their wedding to feel relaxed, meaningful, and full of warmth. Humanist celebrant Doug Milne — who also happens to be a family member — led the ceremony with humour, grace, and a few loving jabs, including a gentle warning that if anyone’s phone went off during the vows, there would be “no fizz later.” (Of course, he was only joking — mostly!)

The ceremony highlighted Craig and Hannah’s story, one that began at the 2018 Ryder Cup in Paris. Hannah was there for work, Craig for fun (not quite playing for Team Europe!), and fate stepped in. A smuggled party invite, a selfie with Tommy Fleetwood, and a little help from a mutual friend meant they were able to reconnect in London. Their second date — at a golf driving range — became the moment Craig knew Hannah was the one, especially when she casually pulled a golf glove from her handbag and hit every ball like a pro.

As their celebrant shared, their journey hasn’t been without challenge. 2023 brought not just an engagement, but also the beginning of Hannah’s health battle. Yet together, they faced everything with strength and unwavering support for one another. As Craig beautifully put it, “Laughter is our love language... even on the darkest of days.”

Their vows were emotional and intimate, with touching tributes to one another’s character. Hannah called Craig her rock — “the most caring person I’ve ever met” — and Craig described Hannah as “resilient, kind-hearted, and fiercely determined.” Of course, no wedding is complete without a little light teasing: Craig’s “piles of clothes” and Hannah’s “creative tea bag disposal” both got a laugh from the crowd.

The bridal party looked incredible, with Hannah escorted down the aisle by her dad Kevin, alongside her sister and bridesmaids — and let’s not forget the scene-stealing flower girl Winnie and page boy Ruri. Craig, his best man Ross, and a full lineup of ushers were also out in full force — looking sharp and beaming with pride.

Fasque House, with its rich history and timeless elegance, offered the perfect backdrop for a day full of laughter, love, and celebration. From heartfelt speeches to the confetti toss (thrown up, not at them, as directed!), every moment was carefully crafted

Craig and Hannah’s wedding wasn’t just a beautiful celebration. It was a powerful reminder of what love really looks like — supportive, fun, patient, and full of hope for the future.
