Lora & Stuart’s Wedding at Pratis Barns: A Love Story Years in the Making
Lora and Stuart’s wedding day at the beautiful Pratis Barns was filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and a love story that truly deserves to be told.
Their journey began at a party in East Kilbride—a chance meeting full of missteps, misunderstandings, and hilarious moments that somehow led two people exactly where they were meant to be. Stuart, hopeful and open-hearted, set his sights on Lora, only to find himself rejected for a seat… next to another boy. But fate had other plans. Despite the rocky first impression, something about that night stuck with Lora, and a cheeky stalk of Stuart’s Bebo photos (yes, Bebo!) turned into a flurry of likes, and eventually, a message that rekindled their connection.
Their first official date? A stroll through Glasgow with a Subway in hand, covered in southwest sauce and laughter. It wasn’t flashy—but it was perfect. And when Stuart introduced Lora to his dad on a surprise date to meet Fall Out Boy backstage, it was clear this relationship wasn’t ordinary—it was something special.
From there, their relationship grew through long-distance chats and weekends spent travelling to see one another. When Laura moved back from London, they made their first home together in Paisley, and their life as a couple truly began. Adventures around the world, everyday routines, and shared dreams brought them even closer—laughing through the chaos, supporting each other in difficult moments, and building a life full of little acts of kindness and understanding.
Stuart's thoughtful proposal at Loch Lomond—set among fairy lights and treehouses—caught Lora completely by surprise, and of course, she said yes. Their wedding day was the perfect continuation of that moment: intimate, joyful, and deeply personal. Their humanist ceremony captured everything about them—Lora’s warmth and spark, Stuart’s quiet devotion, and the beautiful chaos that is falling in love.
We celebrated with tears, laughter, and even a shared drink from the Scottish “Quaich” before they exchanged vows. It was a wedding that felt like them in every way—genuine, funny, emotional, and full of love.
Here’s to Lora and Stuart: a perfect match with a perfectly imperfect beginning, and a lifetime of stories still to come.
